So, here’s the deal…
After graduating college, and floating through a listless career in customer service with a dash of marketing, Rob Ramos made the jump into public relations, effectively starting from zero to work in the field he earned his degree in.
Image is a dramatization
Agency work was a new challenge, and despite the short length of time, he gained valuable insight into how to work with clients, improve already strong communication skills, and manage time and goals within a fast paced environment.
A change in scenery forced a change in occupation and now, that agency experience took him to an SEO content creation role. Visual creativity would take a backseat to optimization, PPC advertising, and keyword management.
Then came the chance for an opportunity he’d dreamt of, working for a professional sports team. Handling online marketing and e-commerce for the local NFL and NBA team gave him a crash course in team management, operations, merchandising, and crucially, audience engagement.
A (hopefully final) change of scenery brought him back to the Boston area. His new role working with life sciences and medical device companies of all sizes, solidified within him the importance of marketing, design, and communication companies needed to find success.
With his eyes open to all it took to find success as a marketer, he furthered his experience and continued studying all elements of marketing: managing, attending, and speaking at tradeshows & conferences; running ad campaigns; email campaigns; social media management; digital content creation; analytics; and more.
